15/08/2025

From August 14 to 15, 2025 The 28th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics (VCFM28) is taking place at University of Science and Technology (DUT) - the University of Danang (UD). This prestigious scientific event is co-organized by the Vietnam Association of Fluid Mechanics and UD-DUT.

According to the President of the Vietnam Association of Fluid Mechanics, VCFM28 serves as a reputable forum, held annually since 1998, to share the latest research findings in the field of Fluid Mechanics and related disciplines.

This year’s conference brings together more than 100 delegates, including leading domestic and international scientists and experts, contributing to the advancement of the Fluid Mechanics sector.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Tien Dung, Vice Rector of UD-DUT, emphasized that the event not only offers an opportunity for scientists and experts to contribute their intellect and dedication, connecting science and technology with practical needs, but also provides a platform for the university to expand its network, foster research collaboration, and promote applications in fluid mechanics and related science and technology fields.

At the opening session, plenary session, and six specialized subcommittees, 91 scientific reports were presented and discussed, focusing on areas such as: Fundamental Fluid Mechanics; Industrial and Environmental Fluid Mechanics; Climate Change and Disaster Prevention; River-Sea Dynamics and Technical Infrastructure; Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD); Aerospace and other interdisciplinary applications.

A highlight of the conference is UD-DUT's contribution of 23 scientific reports of significant scientific and practical value. This affirms the university's leading role in fluid mechanics research and its commitment to sustainable development in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
