On August 8, 2025, at the conference announcing the Network of Centers for Excellent and Talented Training in Industry 4.0 Technologies for the Central and Southern regions (referred to as the Network) organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), University of Science and Technology - The University of Danang (UD-DUT) was assigned to lead the Central Vietnam Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network and participate in many other Networks.

This was a Conference to implement the project 'Developing a System of Centers for Excellent and Talented Training in Industry 4.0 Technology until 2030” (Decision No. 374/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025, of the Prime Minister).​

UD-DUT will lead the Central Vietnam Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network. The network includes 25 partners, consisting of universities and businesses , including University of Science and Education (UD-UED), University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE) and the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU).

In addition, UD-DUT also participated in the following networks: New Materials and Construction Technology; Smart Technology and Advanced Infrastructure; Renewable Energy and Hydrogen Energy; and Biotechnology in Agriculture. 

At the conference, the representative of the leadership of UD-DUT presented a report on "The Development Plan for the Artificial Intelligence and Semiconductor Technology Network in Central Vietnam," focusing on mobilizing resources to achieve key objectives, which are:

Training high-quality human resources in AI and semiconductors to meet the sustainable development needs of the Central and Central Highlands regions.

Building an innovation ecosystem with strong connections between academia, businesses, and the market.

Serving as a strategic bridge to integrate the region deeply into the global technology supply chain.

This landmark achievement continues to affirm the university's leading role, tradition, and pioneering position in training human resources and conducting scientific research.

It also confirms its participation in strategic technology sectors, actively contributing to the country's educational, scientific, and innovative development.
