UD-DUT partners to inaugurate the OPTIMA Lab and the France - Vietnam Technology Campus

Recently (on June 4, 2026), the University of Da Nang - University of Science and Technology (UD-DUT), in collaboration with the University of Technology of Troyes (France), held the Inauguration Ceremony for the OPTIMA Lab and the France - Vietnam Technology Campus (Campus Technology France - Vietnam).

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu - Rector of the University of UD-DUT, this is a golden milestone demonstrating the commitment to partnership in scientific research, innovation, and international cooperation between the University and its partner, the University of Technology of Troyes.
This will serve as a space for work, research, and academic exchange among scientists, lecturers, and researchers of the OPTIMA Joint Research Group, which was established in April 2026, contributing to the implementation of breakthrough policies for science, technology, and innovation development.

Highly appreciating the cooperative relationship over the past years, the Rector of UD-DUT stated that the University will create favorable conditions for scientists and the OPTIMA research group to work and conduct joint research, pioneering in scientific research and implementing international cooperation projects to become a vivid symbol of the tight-knit relationship between the two universities.
According to Prof. Christophe Collet - President of France, the launching of the OPTIMA Lab, featuring a campus that inspires scientific research and innovation, not only contributes to strengthening and supplementing infrastructure for research and international cooperation but also demonstrates the mutual commitment of both universities to jointly promote their staff's potential, participating in addressing challenges in the context of the boom in artificial intelligence, digital technology, digital transformation, and globalization.

Highly appreciating the achievements in academic exchange and research, Prof. Christophe Collet expressed his confidence and hope that this milestone would foster the generation and dissemination of knowledge as well as new technology transfers. This is particularly targeted at spearheading engineering and technology sectors to meet the demands and development trends of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The OPTIMA Lab is equipped with facilities and infrastructure dedicated to research activities, professional and academic exchanges, and collaborative projects between scientists, experts, and interdisciplinary research groups from UD - DUT and France. The core focus will be on the fields of optimization, artificial intelligence, computational intelligence, and related engineering disciplines.
