From September 1 to 4, 2026, the 15th APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education (APEC CCHE) was held in Vladivostok, Russian Federation, as part of the 11th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF 2026). Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac, Vice President of the University of Danang (UD), represented UD leadership at the event and participated in a series of related activities.

According to the Organizing Committee, the 15th APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education (APEC CCHE) serves as a platform connecting a network of international higher education institutions to exchange ideas and promote cooperation in education and research, while expanding opportunities for faculty, expert, and student exchanges, thereby contributing to the development of APEC economies.

During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac held meetings and discussions with representatives of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), including Mr. Nikita Sergeevich Smirnov, Vice President in charge of International Cooperation; Ms. Marina Olegovna Dmitrieva, Vice Director of the FEFU Institute of Oriental Studies; and Mr. Yaroslav Shevchenko, a representative of the leadership of the FEFU Center for Innovation and Technology Development.

The parties discussed promoting the continuation of their cooperation agreement in education and scientific research, with a focus on faculty and student exchanges, the development of international joint training programs, and cooperation in science and technology between the two universities. These efforts aim to further build on the achievements of bilateral cooperation in recent years and jointly pursue sustainable development in the future.

A highlight of the activities was the participation of the UD leadership representative in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) in the Russian Federation on Vietnam-Russia educational cooperation. The interview highlighted the role and potential for cooperation between UD and higher education institutions in the Russian Far East, particularly in enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.

The event also provided an important opportunity for UD to strengthen its integration into international higher education cooperation networks across the Asia-Pacific region.
