From May 11 - 15, 2026, a delegation from the University of Danang (UD), including Mr. Ho Long Ngoc, M.A. - Vice Director of Department of Science and International Cooperation, and Ms. Truong Cong Vu Hang - Officer of Department of Science and International Cooperation, participated in the International Week hosted by the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA), Portugal.

The event was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ KA171 Project, gathering representatives from over 20 countries worldwide. The program featured a series of diverse and practical academic activities aimed at promoting the internationalization of higher education and sustainable development.

According to Mr. Ho Long Ngoc, M.A., Vice Director of Department of Science and International Cooperation at UD, the event served as an important platform for networking, promotion, and strengthening cooperation among universities within the international partnership network.

During the program, the organizers arranged various capacity-building activities for participating universities. Key topics included selecting and developing suitable partners for European-funded projects, sharing experiences in implementing academic exchange programs, expanding international cooperation networks, and developing and writing proposals for Erasmus+ KA2 projects. The event also provided an academic forum where participants could introduce their institutions’ strengths, exchange ideas, and connect within a multicultural environment.

As part of the visit, the UD delegation held a working session with Prof. Paula Tavares, Vice-President in charge of Internationalization, Communication and Culture at IPCA, Ms. Ângela Carvalho, Head of the International Relations Office, and other experts from IPCA to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

The participation of UD as the only representative from Vietnam at this International Week further affirms UD’s role and position in the global academic community while expanding opportunities for collaboration with international higher education institutions, organizations, and partners. The event also provided an opportunity for UD to promote its image, brand identity, and dynamic, globally integrated educational environment to the international community.
