On September 10-11, 2026, Software Development Center - The University of Danang (SDC-UD) hosted the 3rd International Conference on Innovations in Data Science (ICIDS 2026). On this occasion, SDC-UD and Manipal University Jaipur (India) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation in education, research, and technology transfer.

The conference brought together more than 50 delegates, including researchers, experts, lecturers, and business representatives from Vietnam and abroad, representing more than 10 countries, including the United States, Canada, Ireland, Singapore, India, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, the Philippines, Fiji, and Bangladesh.

According to Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, Director of SDC-UD, this was the first time ICIDS was held in Vietnam, with SDC honored to host the conference in collaboration with its partners.

Welcoming the delegates to the event, representatives of SDC-UD highlighted the important role of data science amid the growing demand for digital transformation, particularly in driving breakthroughs in education and training, science, and technology.

At the conference, delegates listened to and discussed keynote lectures delivered by experts, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nitu Bhatnagar, Provost of Manipal University Jaipur (India); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thittaporn Ganokratanaa, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Thailand); and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anchit Bijalwan, British University Vietnam.

Strengthening connections and developing
academic networks in education and research

The conference received 200 selected papers and presentations for consideration for publication in a prestigious Springer publication.

Hosting ICIDS - 2026 has not only contributed to connecting and developing academic networks in the field of data science but also demonstrated the dynamism and proactive engagement of SDC-UD in the process of international integration and the internationalization of higher education.
