UD-SMP Signed Partnership with Japan’s Aoyama Medical Group

On December 4, 2025, the University of Danang – School of Medicine and Pharmacy (UD-SMP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Aoyama Medical Group at the UD-SMP campus.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Le Viet Nho, MD, Rector of UD-SMP; Dr. Okada Munenori, MD, Chairman of Aoyama Medical Group and Director of MCHR Japan–Vietnam Consulting Co., Ltd.; Dr. Hoang Huu Khoi, MD, Vice Rector; Dr. Le Kim Trong, MD, Specialist Level II, Vice Rector; Mr. Asaga Hiroshi, Deputy Director of the company; and Mr. Okada Sho, Deputy Director of the Danang Branch, along with leaders of functional departments and the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Technology.

Under the MoU, the two parties will cooperate to develop nursing human resources through training programs, internship and study opportunities in Japan, and pathways for Vietnamese nurses to work within the Aoyama Medical Group’s system. The partnership provides UD-SMP students and alumni with access to a modern healthcare environment, enhancing professional competencies and expanding international career prospects.

This agreement underscores UD-SMP’s commitment to deeper international integration and impactful collaborations that deliver tangible benefits for learners. The university is confident that its partnership with Aoyama Medical Group will continue to grow, contributing to the development of high-quality nursing personnel for Central Vietnam and the country as a whole.
