UD students receive VESAF, NFP Scholarships for academic year 2025 - 2026

On May 8, 2026, the University of Danang (UD) held a scholarship awarding ceremony for 36 students with disadvantaged backgrounds who have demonstrated strong academic performance and good conduct in the 2025 - 2026 academic year. The scholarships, funded by the Vietnam Educational and Social Assistance Foundation (VESAF, NFP), have a total value of USD 14,400 (USD 400 per scholarship).

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac, Vice President of UD; Mr. Truong Trong Khanh, VESAF, NFP Representative in Vietnam; representatives of UD’s relevant departments (Student Affairs, Corporate Relations and Communications; Academic Affairs and Education Quality Assurance; Youth Union); and representatives from Student Affairs Offices of UD member universities and affiliated/attached training units whose students received the scholarships.

This scholarship program is funded under non-project aid approved by the Ministry of Education and Training, using non-refundable aid capital from the Vietnam Educational and Social Assistance Foundation, pursuant to Decision No. 991/QD-BGDDT.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac expressed sincere appreciation to VESAF, NFP for its attention and valuable scholarship support for students of UD’s member universities and affiliated/attached training units.

He emphasized that beyond financial support to help students cover study and living expenses, the scholarships also provide meaningful spiritual encouragement, motivating UD students to continue striving in learning and self-development so they can contribute to society.
According to Mr. Truong Trong Khanh, VESAF, NFP carries out various community-support activities that contribute to social welfare, including scholarship programs accompanying students and supporting the mission of training high-quality human resources.

The VESAF, NFP representative also expressed thanks to UD leaders and Student Affairs units for coordinating in nominating scholarship recipients, and shared the hope that this support will further motivate students to achieve strong results in both study and personal development, secure suitable employment after graduation, and make positive contributions to society and national development.
On behalf of scholarship recipients, student Dang Phuong Thao (Class YK23A, General Medicine, UD - School of Medicine and Pharmacy) expressed gratitude to the VESAF, NFP Scholarship Fund leaders, lecturers, and relevant UD units and the School for their care and valuable scholarship support, and pledged to continue striving on her journey of knowledge acquisition toward a better future.

In the 2025–2026 academic year, UD has 36 students receiving VESAF, NFP scholarships, including: 12 students from University of Science and Technology; 08 students from University of Economics; 04 students from Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology; 12 students from School of Medicine and Pharmacy.
