UD students with an international publication win Second Prize at 2025 Euréka Scientific Research Awards

On 7 December 2025, at the Closing and Awarding Ceremony of the 2025 Euréka Scientific Research Awards for Students, a team from Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education (VNUK), the University of Danang (UD) comprising students Tran Thi Thanh Thanh and Phan Thi Minh Hang won Second Prize with their project titled:
“Developing environmentally friendly electrolytes for sustainable electrochromic devices: A green approach for smart greenhouses.”
This project includes an international publication in a Q1 Scopus-indexed journal, in which the students are co-authors under the supervision of Dr. Le Hoang Sinh. The same project had previously been awarded First Prize at the “University of Danang Student Scientific Research Awards” for the 2024–2025 academic year.

According to the Organizing Committee, Euréka is a prestigious, long-standing national award for student scientific research, held annually by the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
This year, the competition attracted more than 7,500 students from 161 universities, colleges and academies nationwide, with over 2,100 research projects across 15 different fields.

In addition to the Second Prize awarded to the UD-VNUK student team, students from UD also received five Consolation Prizes, specifically:
1. Tran Anh Dao, Nguyen Thi Thu Na from UD-University of Economics (DUE),
Project: “From ‘Brown’ to ‘Green’ – The relationship between green human resource management and green innovative behavior, the mediating role of green psychological climate, green organizational identity and green creative self-efficacy – A study in the banking sector in Vietnam”.
Supervisor: Dr. Huynh Thi My Hanh

2. Truong Van Minh, Nguyen Minh Chien, Pham Si Anh Duc, Nguyen Thi Hong, Nguyen Hoang Hung Gia from UD-University of Science and Education (UED)
Project: “Research on the application of quantum computing in image processing”
Supervisor: Dr. Dung Van Lu
3. Ho Thi Thuong, Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen, Nguyen Thi Quynh Mai, Nguyen Thi Hien, Do Thi Anh Trinh from UD-UED
Project: “Applying AI to design video lessons for teaching poetic texts to 3rd-grade students using the ‘Connecting Knowledge to Life’ textbook series”
Supervisor: Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ngan

4. Mai Nguyen Xuan Thao, Tran Pham Song Nguyen, Hoang Quoc Viet from UD- Vietnam–Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU),
Project: “Researching solutions to improve the quality of sentiment analysis of customers in the service sector”
Supervisor: Dr. Dang Dai Tho
5. Ho Thi Ngoc Lien from UD-VKU
Project: “Applying Grey System Theory models to forecast cargo volume through seaports in Vietnam”
Supervisor: Dr. Phan Van Thanh
These results not only recognize students’ efforts in scientific research but also inspire a passion for learning and innovation on their journey to mastering knowledge and the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0).
