On March 16, The University of Danang - University of Science and Education (UD-UED) held a welcoming ceremony for a delegation of lecturers and students from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University (Thailand), who have arrived for an academic exchange and study program.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Vice Rector of UED-UD, international student exchange is a key strategy. This initiative not only fosters a multicultural academic environment and enhances educational quality but also contributes to strengthening the bond of friendship between the students of both countries.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wuttichai Roschat, Vice Dean for Research, Academic Services, and External Relations at the Faculty of Science and Technology (Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, Thailand), stated that today’s exchange program is an activity within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between the two institutions in May 2025.

During the working session, representatives from both universities held detailed discussions to outline the academic and research roadmap, as well as the extracurricular activities for the Thai student delegation throughout their stay in Vietnam.

According to the plan, the student delegation from Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University will stay and study at UED for nearly one month. Within the framework of the program, the students will participate in: In-depth mini-research projects in environmental science and microbial technology;  Hands-on practice in testing and synthesizing advanced materials;  Scientific seminars and direct experience in real-world classrooms at the Faculty of Physics & Chemistry and the Faculty of Biology - Agriculture - Environment.

Beyond the intensive academic schedule, the university will also support the delegation with Vietnamese language classes, tours of Hoi An Ancient Town, museum visits, and opportunities to experience unique local culinary culture. The program promises to provide international students with valuable knowledge and unforgettable memories in the coastal city of Da Nang.
