Student representatives from University of Science  and Education (UED) - the University of Danang (UD), Ngô Thanh Trúc (Class 22SVL, Department of Physics and Chemistry), was honored as the sole representative from Vietnam to receive a full scholarship to participate in two international academic programs in Japan.

In Fukushima Prefecture, student Thanh Truc participated in the “International School on Environmental Radiation Monitoring in Hamadori,” which featured specialized academic activities such as visiting the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, conducting radiation measurement and sampling, analyzing field data, and discussing with scientists and local communities about environmental recovery efforts post-disaster.

In Osaka City, student Thanh Truc attended the CC-2025 International Conference with the theme “Designing a Future Society for Our Life - Natural and Climate-Change Induced Disasters’ Effect on Women and Under-Represented Groups.”

This scientific event brought together scholars, researchers, and students from various countries to discuss the social impacts of natural disasters and climate change, while also proposing solutions to build a sustainable society.

Thanh Truc shared that the dynamic and integrated learning environment at UD-UED, has helped students like her comprehensively develop professional skills, scientific research capabilities, and soft skills for international integration.

She confident when engaging in research projects and topics related to disaster prevention and climate change, thanks to my efforts in building my foreign language, presentation, and scientific research skills. This has allowed me to learn from experts and present my ideas and solutions to the academic community.
