The University of Danang - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU), in partnership with NiX Education, has launched the fourth cohort of its Bilingual Japanese - Vietnamese IT Engineering Program. The new intake includes 98 students, selected from nearly 300 applicants in IT and semiconductor design.

Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector of UD–VKU, highlighted the continued success of the university’s collaboration with industry partners. “This program exemplifies an effective university–industry cooperation model, developing high-quality talent with strong technical expertise and Japanese-language proficiency, ready to contribute to both domestic and international labor markets,” he said.
UD–VKU leaders also expressed appreciation for NiX Education’s support, noting that the integrated curriculum is designed to provide students with practical knowledge, essential skills, and a global mindset—particularly for careers in Japan’s advanced industries.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong, Director of NiX Education, said the program has enrolled nearly 250 students since its inception. To date, 20 graduates have secured positions at Japanese companies, including four recently hired by GLD-LAB. Many participants have earned JLPT N3 or N2 certification after just one year of study, underscoring the effectiveness of the UD–VKU and NiX Education partnership in developing IT talent.
Mr. Matsuda Tomoya, a representative of GLD-LAB Corporation, praised the graduates, noting that several students have contributed to the company’s remote software development projects. Some have demonstrated skills and productivity comparable to Japanese engineers and have since been recruited as full-time employees.

The fourth cohort’s curriculum includes approximately 1,200 hours of Japanese-language instruction alongside specialized IT coursework. Graduates are expected to reach at least JLPT N3, enabling career opportunities with Japanese employers as well as pathways for further study.
The Bilingual Japanese - Vietnamese IT Engineering Program at UD–VKU continues to serve as a model for aligning academic training with industry needs, preparing Vietnamese students to succeed in the global technology workforce.
