From August 7 to 9, 2026, as part of the Vietnam-Korea Festival in Da Nang City 2026, the University of Danang - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) participated in and presented a paper at the “Meet Korea in Da Nang” Conference. The event highlighted UD-VKU’s pioneering role in promoting cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, while contributing to the development of strategic technology human resources.

According to Dr. Tran The Son, Vice Rector of UD-VKU, the University has proactively expanded cooperation opportunities with Korean agencies, organizations, enterprises, and partner universities, making positive contributions to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, particularly in higher education and the development of high-quality human resources in information technology, digital technology, the digital economy, semiconductor integrated circuits, communications, and related fields.

These partnerships have not only contributed to the development of strategic technology sectors but have also mobilized additional resources for staff development, infrastructure, and innovation in university governance, thereby enhancing the quality of education and scientific research.

Under the theme “Vietnam-Korea Collaboration for Industrial Advancement - The Role of AI & Strategic Technology Training and Workforce Development,” the presentation proposed highly practical solutions and called for greater engagement from partners in the training, development, research, and application of artificial intelligence (AI) and other strategic technology sectors and fields.

In the coming period, VKU will continue offering training programs in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Information Security. The University has also developed programs in Semiconductor IC Design, Automotive Software Engineering, and Robotics. In addition, VKU will focus on developing postgraduate education in these fields to enhance international integration capacity and create greater opportunities for new cooperation with Korean partners in education and research.

The University places great importance on strengthening partnerships and expanding its network of universities and enterprises. These efforts will promote research and development and innovation, while expanding opportunities under the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program for students and researchers in AI and related fields.

With its appropriate and responsive development strategy, UD-VKU is contributing not only to the development of an AI ecosystem and high-quality human resources for Da Nang City, the Central region, and the country as a whole, but also serving as a bridge for educational, scientific, and technological cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
