On August 27, 2026, the University of Danang - Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) held a working session and signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yonsei University, Republic of Korea.

According to Dr. Tran The Son, Vice Rector of UD-VKU, the signing of the MOU marks a new milestone in the development of cooperation between the two universities, creating opportunities to leverage their respective strengths and potential in advancing the internationalization of higher education.

Introducing UD-VKU’s vision and development orientations to the Korean partner, representatives of the University’s leadership emphasized that strengthening cooperation with prestigious Korean educational institutions such as Yonsei University would provide opportunities for both sides to exchange experience, develop high-quality collaborative programs, and promote comprehensive and substantive cooperation toward long-term and sustainable development.

According to Prof. Inyoung Cho, representative of Yonsei University and Director of the Bachelor of Public Administration Program, the two universities have been developing academic exchange programs and expanding cooperation in various fields to meet practical needs and align with their development strategies. Such cooperation is particularly relevant in the context of globalization, which is creating increasing demand for highly qualified human resources in key fields such as information technology, digital technology, and the digital economy.
Under the signed MOU, the two universities will promote cooperation in six key areas, including student and graduate student exchanges; the development of joint training programs and online learning initiatives; joint research and the sharing of research findings and academic publications; and the organization of academic events, workshops, and scientific conferences, among others.

The two sides also agreed to promote the exchange of scholars and experts. In particular, UD-VKU plans to invite professors and scientists from Yonsei University to deliver specialized academic courses and lectures, especially at the postgraduate level, providing learners with opportunities to broaden their international perspectives, access global information, and enhance their knowledge.
As part of the visit and working program, a delegation of Yonsei University students participated in academic and cultural exchange activities with UD-VKU students. The program provided students from both universities with opportunities to experience a multicultural learning environment, foster mutual understanding, and lay a foundation for stronger connections and cooperation toward a shared future.
