UD-VKU Strengthens International Student Exchange Cooperation with Pai Chai University, South Korea

The University of Danang – Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (UD-VKU) hosted a meeting and signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pai Chai University (South Korea) and TNS Group, focusing on expanding international student exchange opportunities.

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Kim Wook – President of Pai Chai University; Assoc. Prof. Yoon Mi Yeon – Director of the Office of International Affairs at Pai Chai University; Mr. Tran Cong Lua – Chairman of the Board of TNS Group and his colleagues; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap – Rector of UD-VKU; along with Vice Rectors Dr. Tran The Son and Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, and representatives from UD-VKU’s faculties, departments, and centers.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of UD-VKU, the University always prioritizes strengthening partnerships with universities and enterprises, particularly in promoting student exchange programs. This new cooperation is expected to create more opportunities for students to undertake internships and gain practical experience in international business environments, while accessing advanced educational standards, thereby bringing sustainable benefits to students and all partners involved.

Prof. Kim Wook, President of Pai Chai University, emphasized that UD-VKU’s education model, which is closely aligned with industry practice, technology-oriented, and internationally integrated represents the global trend in higher education. This provides a strong foundation for more effective and meaningful multilateral cooperation between the institutions.

Sharing about Pai Chai University, a long-established institution in South Korea, the university’s leadership expressed their readiness to create favorable conditions for UD-VKU students to participate in academic exchanges, research activities, and international learning experiences at Pai Chai University.

Under the terms of the MoU, the universities and the enterprise partner will jointly select and support students to participate in international exchange programs lasting from one to two semesters. A highlight of the program is the provision of tuition fee exemptions or reductions for selected students.

The partner universities also agreed to recognize academic results and transfer equivalent credits, allowing students to continue progressing toward their degrees while gaining valuable international academic and cultural experiences. These opportunities will further enhance students’ global competencies and prepare them to become global citizens.

Within the framework of the cooperation program, representatives from Pai Chai University and TNS Group also engaged with UD-VKU students, sharing various opportunities for professional development in international environments. This collaboration is expected to further promote undergraduate and postgraduate exchange programs, enhance UD-VKU’s international reputation, and broaden students’ global perspectives and understanding.
