University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Danang organized international exchange program and Korean language eloquence contest for students

On 24 June, 2024, University of Foreign Language Studies – the University of Danang (UFLS-UD) held the international student exchange program with Kyung In Women’s University (South Korea) in which the highlight was the Korean language eloquence for students.

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Mai Kha – Vice Rector of UFLS-UD, this year program takes place from June 24-27 with many activities such as: learning about Korean culture, cultural exchange of pop music and dance, sharing beauty tips, game activities and practical experiences, culinary experiences.
The program aims to create more opportunities for students of the two universities to connect, inspire creativity; learn and exchange language and culture; especially for students of Korean language major.
Speaking at the Korean language contest, President of Kyung In Women’s University Yuk Dong In expressed his joy and appreciated the significance of the series of events for students, hoping it would be a “bridge” to contribute to strengthening friendship between the two countries.
Students were required to present about topics that are close and attractive to students such as: telling a story/movie that made you love Korean language and country, the similarities and differences in Vietnamese and Korean cultures, etc.

As a result of the exciting and friendly competition, the Organizing Committee awarded 01 First Prize (with a prize worth 5 million VND); 02 Second Prizes (with a prize worth 3 million VND/prize) and 03 Third Prizes (with a prize worth 2 million VND/prize) to the excellent contestants. This is the first step for students to have the opportunity to demonstrate their Korean speaking ability and develop this skill further in the future.
On this occasion, the leaders of UFLS-UD and Kyung In Women’s University signed a cooperation agreement to develop a Korean language and culture training program, meeting the need of training human resources for socio-economic development.
