University of Science and Technology – The University of Danang announces the training program “Microelectronics – Circuit design” in 2024

On March 15, 2024, University of Science and Technology (DUT) – The University of Danang (UD) officially announced the opening of the training program “Microelectronics – Circuit design” which opens enrollment in 2024 with 60 slots. According to the university’s leader representative, this is a training program of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications.

Speaking at the program announcement ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Hieu – Rector of DUT-UD, said that this event is not only a hallmark in the training of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications and DUT-UD, but also a demonstration of commitment of the university to the community and businesses.

This is truly a high-tech industry with many potentials and advantages, and is expected to promote Da Nang in particular, Vietnam in general, as a destination for international semiconductor chip businesses.

The university’s leader representative shared that the need for human resources in the semiconductor circuit industry is huge; therefore, with the strengths of the staff, lecturers, scientists and specialized/interdisciplinary experts including those from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications.

Besides, there is also the companionship of businesses and reputable domestic and foreign experts with whom DUT-UD has a close relationship and network.

The training program “Microelectronics – Circuit design” has been designed and built by the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, from theoretical foundation and practice to the design technology process.

Currently, the university has arranged 5 labs, 1 electronics workshop and 1 new computer room to serve the training course “Basic VLSI circuit design” conducted by experts from Tresemi and leading US companies in the field such as Skyworks Solutions, Mediatek, Silicon Labs, NXP.

At the event, representatives from partners such as Marvell, Synopsys, Renesas, Quest Synapse, VHT (Viettel) committed to accompanying the university and supporting students in training, research, internship and recruitment.

Over the past 35 years of development, with the strong staff of 5 associate professors, 16 doctors, 3 engineers, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications has trained more than 3000 engineers in the fields, many of whom are holding key positions in different organizations, businesses.
