On October 1, 2025, Danang International Institute of Technology (DNIIT) – the University of Danang (UD) held the Opening Ceremony of the Master's Program in “E-Tourism - Hotel - MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference, Event)". 

This is a Master's program in Tourism in the form of "on-site study abroad", studying in Danang city, receiving a French Master's Degree trained by UD-DNIIT in cooperation with the University of Côte d'Azur (UCA), Republic of France.

Attending the event were Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu, Member of the City Party Committee,. President of UD; Prof.Dr.Sc. Bui Van Ga - Former Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Prof.Dr.Sc. Le Thanh Nhan - Director of UD-DNIIT; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Franck Sosthe, in charge of training management of the Master's Program; Assoc.Prof.Dr. Vo Trung Hung - Vice Rector of University of Technology and Education - UD; Dr. Cao Tri Dung - Chairman of the Danang Tourism Association, lecturer of University of Economics - UD; representatives of relevant departments and lecturers and new graduate students participating in the Program.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Vu – President of UD, with the new context after the merger, Da Nang city has expanded its space, implemented many new growth models and driving forces such as the International Financial Center, Free Trade Zone, including key industries such as Tourism. 

To achieve the goal of developing Da Nang according to Conclusion No. 79-KL/TW, Resolution 43-NQ/TW to become a major socio-economic center, one of the bottlenecks that needs to be cleared is the lack of high-quality human resources, especially senior personnel in tourism, hotel and resort management.

With the tradition, potential and mission of UD training and supplying high-quality human resources to serve the development of the region and the country, including Da Nang city, UD focuses on promoting international cooperation, strengthening training links, not only contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research but also creating opportunities for students to study abroad with international degrees. 

President of UD acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of UD-DNIIT as well as the role and positive contributions of Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Nhan and functional units of UD to effectively implement the 2nd Program, meeting the needs of society, businesses and learners. 

President of UD suggested and advised the graduate students of the Program to try to arrange their time and work to strive to complete the course content, achieve the desired results; reap valuable knowledge to contribute to the development of the tourism industry of the country in general, and Da Nang city in particular.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Franck Sosthe, in charge of training management of the Program, expressed his joy at attending the opening event as a new mark in the cooperative relationship between the two universities as well as with UD-DNIIT. 

Assoc.Prof.Dr. Franck Sosth shared the similarities and advantages when both Nice  (France) and Da Nang (Vietnam) are famous tourist cities, blessed by nature with a dynamic economy, rich culture and vibrant, developing universities. 

This is an opportunity for the parties to cooperate in training, especially in the field of Tourism, with the highlight being the Master's Program that today the students were honored to open, entering a new journey.

According to the representative of UD-DNIIT, this is the second course of UD-DNIIT to open the Program, creating opportunities for students to study, research, and experience in practice in a direct and online way (flexible design according to international time zones). 

With a duration of 510 hours (161 hours of theory, 349 hours of practice), a team of highly qualified and dedicated lecturers from University of Economic and Management Studies (EUR ELMI) of UCA and member universities of UD, graduate students students will have the opportunity to intern and write their thesis at domestic and international enterprises, agencies, organizations, and award a Master's Degree from UCA.
