On September 15-17, 2025, University of Science and Technology - the University of Danang (UD-DUT) in collaboration with Yokohama National University (YNU), Japan organized International Academic Exchange Program.

The program brings together 30 members who are scientists, young lecturers, graduate students and students focusing on the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and non-destructive experiments in infrastructure and transportation construction.

The program included many academic exchange activities connecting theory from the lecture hall to practice, combined with field surveys at traffic works such as Pho Nam Cable-Stayed Bridge.

The members discussed and proposed ideas and research outlines focusing on AI applications in urban infrastructure construction technology with scientific and practical contents such as: Application of Machine Learning and AI methods in forecasting load-bearing capacity and responding to risks and disasters; inspection of bridge works using advanced NDT technology; XGBoost model and numerical simulation in monitoring construction pathology...

Highlights of the Program by Prof. Hiroshi Tamura, Graduate School of Urban Innovation, YNU. This is truly an opportunity for lecturers, trainees, and students to access new knowledge, technology, experience, academic exchange, and teamwork in the field of infrastructure and transportation construction.
