Recently, Phạm Thị Thùy Dương, a fresh graduate in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Industrial Informatics from The University of Danang (UD) - University of Science and Technology (DUT), celebrated a remarkable achievement. After graduating as the valedictorian of her major, Dương was awarded double full scholarships to pursue her Master’s studies in both France and Taiwan (China).

Thùy Dương’s journey has been marked by relentless efforts in studying, training, and scientific research. Her academic accomplishments are highly commendable: First Prize in the DUT - Creative Science Contest for Student Scientific Research in 2022; Special Prize for “Innovation in Health and Education”; Third Prize in the Final Round of the Smart Campus Competition at UD in 2023.

In social and volunteer activities, She actively participated in Green Summer Campaigns, earned the “Five-Good Student” title, joined the Communist Party at just 18 years old, and had the honor of representing students as a member of the University Council.

According to Dương, her learning and growth in the inspiring environment of the university provided her with the opportunity to intern and complete her graduation thesis at Chung Cheng National University (Taiwan, China). During a four-month academic exchange, Dương was exposed to advanced technologies.

Thanks to her dedication and the enthusiastic guidance of Prof. Wen-Nung Lie and Dr. Nguyễn Quang Như Quỳnh (UD - DUT), Dương successfully defended her graduation thesis, earning an impressive score of 9.6 and the title of valedictorian in her major.

Her international internship and student exchange experiences opened doors for Dương to be admitted with a full scholarship to the graduate program at Chung Cheng National University.

at Côte d’Azur University, France

Her joy doubled when, with the support and recommendation from faculty at UD - DUT, Dương was granted the prestigious Erasmus+ scholarship from the EU for the Master of Computer Science program at Côte d’Azur University (UCA), France—a strategic partner of UD - DUT.

Sharing her excitement, Dương said that making choices is never easy, but her dream is to continue her research journey at the Human-Centric Digital Systems Research Center, UCA. As a student of the high-quality Vietnamese-French engineering program (PFIEV), Dương believes it has served as a springboard for students like her to pursue future aspirations.
