UD-VKU organized the 14th International Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA-2025)

From July 14-15, 2025, Vietnam - Korea University of Information and Communication Technology - The University of Danang (UD-VKU) organized the 14th International Conference on Information Technology and its Applications (CITA 2025) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. A significant new highlight for this year's conference is that, for the first time, this prestigious scientific event, annually initiated and chaired by VKU, is being held outside of Vietnam, stemming from an ACIR initiative.

The event is co-organized by UD-VKU,  Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), ASEAN Community of Universities for Innovation and Research (ACIR), Federation of Vietnamese IT-Telecom Universities (FISU Vietnam), Springer Publishing, IEEE SMC (technical sponsorship), Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland), Dublin City University (Ireland), Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) (sponsorship through ODA Project).

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Cong Phap, Rector of VKU, CITA has evolved over nearly 15 years into an international scientific conference and a prestigious academic forum. It now brings together scientists, scholars, and experts in the fields of Information Technology, communications, and digital/digital economy technologies.

The Rector of VKU highly praised the companionship of the CADT Academy, Cambodia, as the host unit for CITA 2025. He emphasized the university's strong commitment, alongside the ACIR communityand other partners, to dedicate their intellect and passion to the advancement of education, science, and technology, especially in Industry 4.0 fields.

CITA 2025 has seen an increase in both scale and quality, evident in the number of international papers and publications (165 papers) and the number of authors author groups (450 authors from 30 countries including the United States, France, Japan, Poland, China, South Korea, India, Canada, Singapore, and Vietnam, etc). Out of these, 73 papers (an acceptance rate of 44%) have been selected for publication in Lecture Notes in Network and Systems (Springer), which is indexed in the DBLP and Scopus databases.

At the Plenary Session, the conference featured two keynote presentations: 

(1) “Classification Models at Image Recognition Tasks: Assessing the Risks” by Prof. Dr. Franck Leprévost  from University of Luxembourg;

(2) “Building a Resilient Society through ICT Innovation and Deployment”  by  Prof. Dr. Masugi Inoue  from the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan

Additionally, there will be scientific presentations from other keynote speakers, including Dr. Kien Nguyen from Chiba University, Japan.

The conference also included specialized sessions with in-depth presentations and discussions, bringing together renowned scientists and scholars. The Scientific Advisory Board comprised: Prof. Dr. Sc. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh - Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Khac Nhien An - Dublin City University (Ireland); Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Journal of Information and Communications (Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam). 

The conference featured 12 parallel sessions covering scientifically significant and timely topics, including: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Image Processing and Natural Language Processing, Software Technology and Information Systems, Networks and Communications, Digital Economy, Intelligent Communication Systems and Computer Vision for Next-Generation Applications, Information Security, Cryptography and Digital Forensics, Computational Intelligence in the Digital Economy, Computer Vision, and more.
