UD signs MOU with AusEd International Pty Ltd

On December 15, 2025, The University of Danang (UD) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AusEd International Pty Ltd (AUG), aiming to strengthen internationalization through student exchanges, joint training programs, and enhanced advisory services.
The agreement was signed by UD Vice President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac and AUG Chief Executive Officer (CEO) James Kon. Attendees included AUG’s Vietnam managing director and market development manager, and leaders from UD’s departments of Science and International Cooperation; Academic Affairs and Educational Quality Assurance; Student Affairs, Partners and Communications; as well as representatives from UD member institutions, including the University of Economics, the University of Foreign Language Studies, and the Vietnam–UK Institute for Research and Executive Education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac described the MoU as a “significant milestone” that underscores both sides’ commitment to broadening study and research opportunities and developing high‑quality human resources for Vietnam’s Central–Highlands region and the country at large.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Bac said university - industry collaboration is a strategic pillar for UD and highlighted AUG’s global network as a platform to connect UD with foreign universities and research institutes, promote academic exchanges, and support short‑term student programs.

Mr. James Kon said UD students will gain direct access to AUG’s personalized counseling and support services following the signing, opening pathways to overseas study, internship exchanges, and career opportunities.
Mr. James Kon said the partnership is intended to help students make more informed choices about education and future careers. With more than 30 years of experience in the education sector, Mr. Kon added that AUG seeks a strong, mutually beneficial partnership guided by shared strategic priorities in the interests of UD students.

Under the MoU, the parties will cooperate on:
- Student exchange programs, study tours, and short‑term mobility schemes between UD and foreign educational institutions;
- Joint undergraduate and postgraduate training programs with foreign educational institutions;
- Faculty and staff exchanges for mutual learning and capacity building;
- Study‑abroad events and counseling for UD faculty members and students;
- Professional development, training workshops, and seminars for UD’s academic and administrative staff;
- Exchanging best practices in university governance, digital education, and internationalization strategies;
- Community engagement and cultural exchange initiatives to enhance intercultural understanding;
- Introducing international internship and scholarship opportunities for UD’s lecturers and students.

AUG representatives thanked UD’s leadership for its trust and said they expect the MoU to translate into tangible benefits for students in the near future.
