UD-VKU signed a cooperation agreement with Jeju National University

On January 16, 2026, at the Vietnam-Korea University of Information and Communication Technology (VKU)- the University of Danang (UD), a meeting and cooperation signing ceremony took place with Jeju National University (JNU). 

According to Dr. Huynh Ngoc Tho, Vice Rector of UD-VKU, this cooperation agreement marks a new milestone in the university’s strategy to deepen and enhance the effectiveness of international partnerships with prestigious global institutions, especially renowned South Korean universities like JNU.

Representatives of VKU-UD's leadership shared that the university identifies training high-quality human resources and providing students with opportunities to hone their professional skills as a top priority. Furthermore, developing corporate and international partnership programs to offer students hands-on experience within collaborative models plays a pivotal role.

In addition, through this collaboration, both sides will open up more opportunities to enhance their capabilities in scientific research and innovation, meeting current demands and trends.

According to Prof. Kim Eun Hee, Head of the International Relations Office of Jeju National University, the partner institution has a strong tradition and strengths in interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary training and research. At the same time, JNU holds the advantage of having an extensive international cooperation network.

Expressing joy at the signing of the MOU, the representative from JNU committed to collaborating on the implementation of practical and effective agreements, with a focus on promoting academic and research exchange, as well as increasing the mobility of faculty and students. This milestone also serves as a highlight contributing to the strengthening of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between Vietnam and South Korea, particularly in educational cooperation.

Under the signed MOU, both parties will boost student exchange programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, facilitate the exchange of faculty and experts, and focus on coordinating joint research activities aimed at sustainable development goals.
